Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. In Estonia, IOM supports migrants through a variety of resettlement, support and protection activities.

After arriving back to Sudan, beneficiary visited the IOM office in Khartoum. IOM gave him counselling and discussed the type of assistance they could provide. This lead to IOM assisting beneficiary to buy different barber shop equipment and items such as barber chairs, hair cutting machines, mirror, combs, hair brushes, creams, masks, etc. so he could set up a hairdressing business in Khartoum. Hairdressing business is producing enough profits to exceed the everyday living costs for him and his family. He is convinced that his future is in Sudan.
